Provide support to sexual and reproductive health related issues: In Jumla nearly 45% young women get married before the age of 18 years, however the legal age of marriage in Nepal is 20 years both for men and women. Get married at the age of 13-18 years has created various problems like early pregnancy, death of child mother, and wide spreading of malnutrition. As a consequence, many young women are suffering from uterine prolapse. In such context, Sarbodaya Nepal Jumla has been providing support to raising awareness, treatment service to uterine infected women, facilitate to use of government services like delivery at health post, antenatal and post-natal care service use by the community, and facilitate to health post in records keeping through female community health volunteers. It also advocates for abortion of unwanted pregnancy. Adolescent girls are facilitated to understand about feminist perspectives of their health rights, their decision on their body and continuation of their education. Female community health volunteers (FCHVs) are the key agents to work for awareness raising, facilitate to use government health services and records keeping. Sarbodaya Nepal Jumla adopted 157 FCHVs to implement the activities related to sexual and reproductive health in different groups.
